Behavioral health funding can feel scarce, but for Critical Access Hospitals, the bigger challenge is often knowing where to look and which opportunities are worth pursuing. This practical session will help CAHs identify behavioral health funding sources, use key resources such as the Rural Health Information Hub and Iowa-specific tools, and assess grant opportunities based on fit, feasibility, and staff capacity.

Participants will also hear grant reviewer insights on common proposal pitfalls, what funders look for, and how to strengthen need statements and applications for rural behavioral health projects.

Primary Audience: This webinar is designed for Critical Access Hospital leaders and staff involved in behavioral health planning, grant development, community health initiatives, quality improvement, population health, and rural health strategy.
  • Identify practical resources for finding behavioral health funding opportunities for Critical Access Hospitals.
  • Assess grant opportunities based on fit, feasibility, eligibility, and internal capacity.
